ART SANTA FE - VON SEIBERT ART - JULY 2024 - ART FAIR - REDWOOD ART GROUP - DIRECTORS AWARD

It was a beautiful week in Santa Fe, NM. It was an interesting change of pace to do this smaller, boutique art fair in Santa Fe and we had time to have some amazing conversations with attendees coming from NM to CA, FL to AZ, and of course TX.

During the show we had the opportunity to learn about the ZOZOBRA 100 event taking place later this summer/fall. Have you heard of the Burning Man? It was inspired by an event that was started by a local artist 100 years ago in Santa Fe, NM. A huge Zozobra creature is created every year representing all your worries, anxieties and problems. Then they burn it! I was honored to be selected to create a piece of art to commemorate the 100th anniversary of this Santa Fe Tradition! WOW - can’t wait to get started on this commission.

Also, want to thank Art Santa Fe for the 2024 Directors Award! What an honor with so many other amazing artist showing at Art Santa Fe. It’s so touching to be honored by the organizers of the event, as well as the many comments during the show of people that enjoy looking at the art I create! Thank you!!!

Redwood Art Collective

I joined the Redwood Art Collective that ran simultaneously and had the chance to meet and network with other artists from around North America and other leaders in the art community of Santa Fe. Thanks, Redwood, for organizing this.
